LOWER LAKE MARY
Type • Smaller of Flagstaff’s twin lakes
Location • 8 miles south of Flagstaff

Attractions • Fishing ( Brook Trout, Northern Pike, Catfish), boating, wildlife watching (Bald Eagles in winter months), biking, photography

UPPER LAKE MARY
Type • Larger of Flagstaff’s twin lakes
Location • 12 miles southeast of Flagstaff
Elevation • 7000 ft
Attractions • Fishing (Northern Pike, Channel Cat, Crappie, Brook Trout), boating, wildlife watching, biking, photography
Facilities • 3 boat ramps, disabled access fishing ramp, picnic area
Notes • No boat motor size limit
MARSHALL LAKE
Type • Small marshy lake
Location • 12 miles southeast of Flagstaff
Elevation • 7000 ft
Attractions • Fishing (Brook Trout), picnicking, wildlife watching (Coots, Waterfowl), mountain biking, photography
Facilities • 3 boat ramps, disabled access fishing ramp, picnic area
Notes • The northwest side of the lake is closed to vehicular traffic to protect waterfowl nesting habitat.


VERDE RIVER
Type • River, Tributary about 170 miles long
Location • About 50 miles south of Flagstaff
Elevation • 3000 ft
Attractions • Excellent place to fish for a number of species with the AZ fish and game stocking on a put and take basis. Good place for some recreational boating and scenic canoeing with all the long pools. There are plenty of place for a stop including the White Bridge Picnic area, Childs Dispersed camping area, Sycamore canyon road, and so much more
Facilities • There are day use facilities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and primitive boat ramps at various sites.
